YOUNG AMERICAN CREATIVE PATRIOTIC ART CONTEST

 Since 1979 the VFW Auxiliary's Young American Creative Patriotic Art Contest has provided up-and-coming artists the opportunity to be showcased while also get the chance to win opportunities to receive a scholarship. Every year more than 4,000 high school students in grades 9-12 from all over the country participate to enter to show their patriotism while also expressing their creativity with the first place winners from each state going on to compete for national awards totaling $37,000 in this 2D art contest!

Contest entries must be submitted to the local auxiliaries by midnight of March 31, 2023.
Late entries will not be accepted.

VFW Auxiliary National Scholarship Awards
 
 1st Place: $15,000
 2nd Place: $7,500
 3rd Place: $3,5000
 4th and 5th Place: $1,500
 6th and 7th Place: $1,000
 8th and 9th Place: $5000

Be sure to read all rules and guidelines.
Any entry that is not fully completed as instructed will be automatically disqualified in order to maintain a fair contest.

Arrangements will also be made for a time period where contestants will be able to drop off their pieces directly to us at the VFW Post in Edmond however contestants will still need to ensure that their pieces are prepared and wrapped in a way that they can be unwrapped and judged for the local contest and then rewrapped in the event that their piece wins and needs to be transported to the next levels of the contest at District, State, and National Conventions.
